Content creator
What is a content creator?
A content creator is someone who makes content for an online audience: videos, short-form clips, photos, articles, newsletters or podcasts. Creators earn from platform ad revenue, sponsorships, affiliate links, subscriptions and their own products.
"Influencer" usually describes a creator’s effect on their audience; "creator" describes the work. Most influencers are creators, and many creators dislike being called influencers.
Why a content creator matters
Creators are the supply side of influencer marketing. Treating them as businesses with their own audience, style and prices leads to better partnerships than treating them as ad space.
