Mega influencer
What is a mega influencer?
A mega influencer is a creator with more than about a million followers. At this size the audience is broad and varied, and the creator often has a team that handles brand deals.
Mega influencers are the top tier, above macro influencers. Some are celebrities who became creators; others grew from a niche until the niche became mainstream.
Why a mega influencer matters
They offer reach no other tier can, which can matter for a mass-market launch. For most startups and niche products, the cost and the loose audience fit make several micro influencers a better use of the same budget.
