AMA (Ask Me Anything)
What is an AMA?
An AMA, short for Ask Me Anything, is a session in which a person, often a founder, expert or notable figure, invites a community to ask any questions and answers them over a set time. Reddit’s r/IAmA made the format popular; it is now common on many subreddits, Discord servers and other platforms.
Most communities require AMAs to be arranged with moderators first.
Why an AMA matters
An AMA can introduce a founder and product to a relevant community in a format people enjoy, as long as the answers are open and not a sales pitch.
