Subreddit
What is a subreddit?
A subreddit is a topic community on Reddit, named with an r/ prefix, such as r/startups or r/espresso. Each has its own moderators, rules (often including rules on self-promotion), flairs and culture.
Subreddits range from a few hundred members to tens of millions. Smaller, focused subreddits are often more useful for marketing than huge general ones, because questions there come from the exact audience.
Why a subreddit matters
The right subreddit is where your customers ask for help in public. Finding it, and learning its rules, is the first step in Reddit marketing.
