Lurker
What is a lurker?
A lurker is someone who follows a community, reading posts and comments, without posting much or at all. In most online communities only a small share of members post; the rest read.
Why a lurker matters
When you answer a question in public, the person who asked is only part of the audience. Many silent readers with the same problem see the answer too, now and later.
