Brand ambassador
What is a brand ambassador?
A brand ambassador is someone who represents a brand repeatedly over a longer period, rather than in a one-off post. Ambassadors can be creators, enthusiastic customers or employees, and they are usually rewarded with free product, a retainer, commission or a mix.
Ambassador programmes sit between affiliate marketing and full sponsorship: the relationship is ongoing, and the ambassador mentions the brand naturally across many posts.
Why a brand ambassador matters
Repeated mentions from the same trusted person build familiarity and credibility in a way a single sponsored post cannot. Long-term deals are also usually cheaper per post and easier to manage.
How to run a brand ambassador programme
- Pick ambassadors who already use and like your product.
- Agree what they will post, how often and how they disclose it.
- Give each a personal link or promo code to track results.
- Reward the ones who drive sales, and check in regularly.
