Beachhead market
What is a beachhead market?
A beachhead market is a narrow first segment a company focuses on completely, chosen because the need is strong, customers are reachable and they talk to each other. Once the company wins there, it expands to adjacent segments.
The term borrows from military strategy and is common in startup and go-to-market writing.
Why a beachhead market matters
Focus makes everything easier: one ICP, one message, a few channels and references that match the next customer.
