Influencer gifting
What is influencer gifting?
Influencer gifting means sending a free product to creators without paying them or requiring a post. Some will share it if they like it; many will not. It is a common first step with nano and micro influencers.
If a creator does post about a gifted product, it usually still needs to be disclosed, because the free product is a material connection.
Why influencer gifting matters
It is cheap, low-pressure and a good way to find creators who genuinely like the product before offering paid work. Ask first before sending anything, and respect a no.
